CUT UP OVER SALMON…..EASY METHOD IN PREPARING A NO FUSS MEAL….
Our Fishing Adventures can present lots of surprises in terms of the different species of fish that can be retrieved from east coast fishing sanctuaries, breakwalls, shores, and deep water fish havens…. At times our Catch rate exceeds expectations, and on other occassions our catch rate is not so great..Whichever the case, It is always exciting to travel home with fish we never anticipated catching ……
Salmon is one such variety of fish…. Last year I had the opportunity to visit Durras,a nice location boasting a generous stretch of coastline with deep water, deep eddies,, and lots of Salmon….
Such was the case this day when I was pleased to find that a large proportion of my catch consisted of mainly Salmon, and large Salmon at that…..Some Fisher folks feed salmon to there pets,whereas I find Salmon to be one of my favourites on the menu, and am never cut up over the catch.
When I arrive home. I think of an array of recipes which I can use to best utilise the Salmon caught…The following are NO FRILLS methods in producing great tasting fish.
Method 1/ Fillet pieces along the length of the bone carcass.
Method 2/ Cut filleted pieces into cubes, and put them through a meat grinder so as to later blend and produce Salmon Patties……
Method 3/ Simply cut a number of flanked pieces straight through the backbone, bones and all ready for sprucing up with your favourite spices and condiments ready for the Olive Oil in the frypan or the Oven.
If you use the above methods, “YOU”LL NEVER GET CUT UP OVER SALMON”!!!
