An old timer from Queensland taught me this one.. No frills,No Rocket Science,No Biology degree needed!… Here’s how you do it!

Grab yourself  an empty coke can or two. Put some sturdy gloves on. Stab a number of holes into the can with a sharp knife. Watch your fingers…Proceed to add bits of fresh meat eg chicken pieces and squid, bits of steak into the butchered cans…….Throw both cans into the meshed onion sack. Add a few heavy lead sinkers or a number of old bolts to the bag…….Secureley tie of the opening to the bag,and ensure you have lots of rope length to lower bag over area where crabs live….Wait a few hours…

What you will find is that the Crabs will frantically try and retrieve the food source from cans, however because they cannot gain access, they obliterate the cans , simultaneously becoming caught into the onion sack.

Finally pull up your catch, and enjoy the banquet….BON APPETITE…
